Microsoft sued over Surface RT fiasco

Big M just can’t get a break.  (Can’t escape from their mighty screw ups)

Apparently some Microsoft shareholders think that Ballmer and friends lied about how big of a disaster the Surface RT was, and they want some payback.

The suit claims that:

“[Microsoft] led the market to believe that the launch of Surface RT had been executed in a measured and conservative fashion so that it could observe and understand its progress and outcome,” the suit charges. “What Defendants knew but failed to disclose to investors, however, was that Microsoft’s foray into the tablet market was an unmitigated disaster, which left it with a large accumulation of excess, over-valued Surface RT inventory.”

“While the investment community speculated that Microsoft was sitting on a half million unsold Surface RT devices, in reality the Company was saddled with millions of Surface RT units that, at its then current $500 price point, were generally unsalable.”

And the hits just keep on comin’…….
