Lenovo Laptop with 2nd Screen – Please Don’t Do That

From the "No body needs that, so please don't" department: At CES 2020 Lenovo announced a new ThinkBook Plus with a 10.8-inch E ink display on the lid. This is a really really bad idea that is a very bad User eXperience (UX) design. This is what happens when tech companies do something just because they can, even when they shouldn't.

Apple having an official presence at CES 2020 is the first time in decades that they have attended is huge. And for it to be about HomeKit makes it doubly huge.
Apple announced that Amazon, Apple, Google, Zigbee Alliance and board members form working group to develop open standard for smart home devices. That should be very good for home automation by promoting open standards, and Apple's focus in HomeKit on security, among other things, should benefit every company and customer invested in home automation.
Apple last week published its Apple Platform Security Guide that sets the standard for security good practices. I've just written 3 blog posts about security and privacy and noted how much better Apple is then pretty much every other tech company in the same product areas.
Opening up HomeKit is a great step forward for Apple. HomeKit security is superior to home automation tech from Amazon, Google, Samsung, etc. But Apple needs to do more to push HomeKit forward.
Your location is being tracked right now by hundreds of apps and web sites. They are violating your privacy. Once again, proving the adage that if you are not paying for a product, then... YOU are the product. In other words, your privacy is being violated by collecting and selling your location and other personal information.
Dec 10, in a US Senate Judiciary Committee hearing clueless politicians once again attacked the security and privacy of every human on earth, by trying to fundamentally and fatally undermine encryption. We all must FIGHT BACK against these CLUELESS politicians that don't understand technology.
There's still a need for something in between Apple's Mac mini and Mac Pro. That is not an iMac. Professionals, like me, that are professional consumers, or prosumers, still need something more than the Mac Mini and very much less than the Mac Pro.
The new Mac Pro went on order last Tue and shipped out today, and yeshk it's a beast !!! They sure engineered the crap outta the thing. It's a marvel of engineering prowess and excellence. Both the Mac Pro and the Pro Display too.
I had been waiting a long long time for the 2018 Mac mini refresh. When it finally did arrive, it didn't go as smooth as it should have. In spite of that, I still would have to do it again because, well.... its still an Apple. Although I'd change some things, because it was quite a mess. Here's my saga...
Just last week I pointed out that the problem with streaming gaming is its dependency on Internet infrastructure and its architecture. Gizmodo's bottom line is... well, not great. YouTubers too.
Google Stadia Streaming Gaming is Having Troubles: Bigger Problem - Usage Caps - Color me surprised !!! Isn’t a bigger problem its dependency on Internet infrastructure and its architecture ?
